Wong Teck Hwa is the Pastry Chef at Sheraton Towers Singapore. Bringing with him 15 years of experience, he is the man behind all the sweet pleasures and divine creations of the Hotel.

Chef Wong has established himself as a talented and creative individual in this area. He has participated in several International Food Expo scenes like "Cape Gourmet Festival" at The Bay Hotel in Cape Town (South Africa) and "Davidoff Gourmet Festival Sylt" at Manne Pahl restaurant in Kempen, Sylt (Germany).

Generally reserved in nature, Chef Wong becomes flamboyant and adventurous in the kitchen as he experiments boldly with colours, flavours and textures. Each pastry is likened to an art piece in his hands, as he delicately kneads and moulds them into delightful temptations.

Some of Chef Wong’s decadent creations including the Praline Crunchy Chocolate Cake, Durian Cake, Tiramisu, Mixed Fruit Flan, Apricot Ivory Cake, Marble Cheese Cake, Black Forest Cake and more are available at The Dining Room for dine-in and take-away. His signature Durian Cake, which is generously filled with fresh durian pulp in between delicate vanilla sponge, is undeniably a long-standing favourite among our diners. Devilishly infused with rum and coffee, the Tiramisu Cake is a delightful alcoholic dessert that will leave you hanking for more. For those who believe in love at first bite, be instantly smitten by the Praline Crunchy Chocolate Cake that is embraced in light chocolate mousse with a hidden crispy waffle that adds the crunch on every bite.

Chef Wong Teck Hwa has been with Sheraton Towers Singapore since 2001. Born in Malaysia, he has been staying in Singapore since 1989 and is married with a son.
